The Southwest High School Hockey League and the Capital Area Activities Conference are excited to announce that they have combined to form the South Central High School Hockey League, which will begin play this fall for the 2019-2020 hockey season.
ABOUT
The South Central High School Hockey League (SCHSHL) will have a Central and South division which will complete locally out of their current rinks and also play cross over games with the other division teams.
​
The SCHSHL Central Division will include the Capital City Capitals, the Eastside All-Stars, Mid-Michigan Marauders, Jackson Lumen Christi Titans and the Okemos Chiefs and will play out of the Suburban Ice Arena in East Lansing.
​
The SCHSHL South Division will include hockey teams from Mattawan Wildcats, Kalamazoo Eagles, Kalamazoo United,
Portage Central Mustangs and Portage Northern Huskies and will play out of the Wings West Ice Arena in Kalamazoo.
​
Overall, the league represents over 200 student athletes and managers from 20 high schools in the central and southern regions of Michigan.

The new league will host a number of marquis event during the upcoming season, including:

The Portage Classic on December 9th

League Skills Competition and Parent Night – January 13

League Showcase featuring all 10 teams – January 24 & 25

The 8TH Annual Youth Hockey Fights for Autism Event will be expanded to feature all 10 teams on February 15th

The SCHSH League Tournament with all 10 teams participating on February 22.
